General Ledger

A charity that I volenteer at would like to create a General Ledger for their small office using MsAccess 2003.

Could I please receive a suggestion as to where I may find a template for them to use?

microsoft has template "desktop business account ledger".
but this is written in a2010.

You are better off starting from scratch. MS Templates are poor examples since they violate many rules of good practice starting with naming standards not being enforced.

Start with the spreadsheets and reports they are currently using. Import the data. Fix up the column names. Normalize the data so it is not all one flat table. Post what you have and we'll help you take it from there. You can run an update query to modify the dollar amounts if you want to but there should not be any other sensitive data at this level. There may be more detailed data that feeds into the GL though.
