generate word document

Hello all,

Is there a way that I could put a command button on my form and on clicking it, it would generate a word document (I have a word document saved) but on the word document, it would populate the address field with the information on the form. I have about 5 fields on the form that will be used in the word document.

I thought about creating a report in access instead, but I might want to edit the word document manually, is there a way to do this?

Have a look at this example and it should show you a way forward. I have forgoten who wrote it in its first instance but it was in Access 97 i think, but feel free to correct me.

I did, but it's not really what I am looking for. On my form, I want to be able to click a button and a previously saved Word document pops up that is populated with some fields in my form.
the example you provided has winword and saving files e.t.c.

Peterssoftware.com, they have a lettermerger that opens word and puts what ever letter you create and merges information, names, amounts, dates, or whatever into a letter.

Perhaps you can use this somehow. It's worth a look.
 
If you do not want to repeat the Access fields in the word document then you can use Word Bookmarks.
