Getting a form to update from another form

Hi,

i am using 2 forms. form 1 is the main form and form 2 is the pop up. form 2 allows a new record to be added to the table. I now need form 1 to show that record that has just been created. problems i have-

form 1 is unbound
form 1 has a grid that shows the data.

on Form 1, i can control the form records in 2 ways. I have a combo that has an after update-

DoCmd.SearchForRecord , "", acFirst, "[reference] = " & "'" & Screen.ActiveControl & "'"

when i use the combo, i can select the record and the form updates. I also have 2 nav buttons that call the cboJobRef_AfterUpdate and this works just fine. i cant call the routine from Form 2 so,

how can i make Form 1 move to the latest record created with form 1 automatically?

Ok,

my form 1 is now bound and could show a record based on a table. How then could i move to the last record on form 1 from form 2?

You will need to set focus on your second form and then use DoCmd.FoundRecord and use FindLast

You should re-query your form 1 after you have added the new record using form 2.
