Hi all,

I work at a school and have a Reports database. I have a form for each subject and a number of fields per form.

I'm trying to get the teachers to enter information about the kids into very precise boxes and then have that printed via Word mailmerge to produce end of year reports.

So for example I have a field in a form at 6.34cm x 4cm, Calibri (Detail) font, size 11, left and right padding 0.19cm

In the word document I have a table listing all the subjects where the corresponding cell is 6.34cm x 4cm, Calibri font, size 11, left & right padding 0.19cm.

I would expect that the form field would look exactly the same as the Word but it doesn't - I generally have more space in the word cell after the last word/character. Each line in the cell does not necessarily match form field, so I might have:

"Jonny is working hard and playing
well" in the form field and

"Jonny is working hard and playing well" printed in Word

Should this work? It must be possible....

Thanks anyone for help

if you want that your report should Go into Word

Just see a W icon on top with down arrow icon

Click on it.... Some Word processing will happen

Note: For Spacing problem, haf you tried CanGrow/CanShrink prop
shown in rightclick--textbox---properties dialog box

and the formatted data as seen will pasted in word
and the file name you can save

Note:-

It is probably something to do with your box properties - suggest you look a the margins/line spacing/font sizes/etc in the word document.

The contents is just data, and word is probably formatted differently (and has more options) than Access

As in my original post margins, fonts, sizes etc are the same. The only thing I can imagine is line spacing - Line spacing in Word is set to 0pt but I dont know what point line spacing the Access box is...

Anyone?
