Getting into a secure backend

Hi there,

I was wondering how to get into a backend database when it says please do do not open the database, use the program. I remember there is a way to get into to edit it, but I can't remember. He has full access to the database, but doesn't know how to get into the back end to add tables, changes.

Hi There,

Pressing the shift key will not work. There is an autoexec that was created to keep people out, now that person left who created it, there is a need to fix it. Does anyone know how to disable that autoexec in the back end database?

Have you tried importing everything into a new database.

Then you can see what your mate has done to the shift key probably on the Opening Form On Load or On Open event

Then maybe you can unset the disable

Assume you have tried the F11 key

If your mate has done what I normally do then somewhere he will have a click or double click event that displays the startup dialogue box.

I tend to have this either in a form title, an image maybe on an image after some form of password display. How devious was your mate.

Remenber you can assign an event to a click or double click on a label !!!!
