Hi all,

As you may or may not know Access has a page height limitation of 55.87cm.

My report needs to be printed onto 4, possibly 5 pages with a different background image (pages of an application form).

Without me having to split these reports up and having to fire 2-3 reports to print an application form does anyonw know of a way to overcome this?

Thanks in advance.

Andy

No ideas anyone?

If not, is there a way I can run 3 reports but get it to look as though I am only printing 1? i.e. only ask which printer to print to once?

Not sure what you're after but have you looked into sub reports?

Hi vbaInet I am basically digitizing an application form. There are various reasons for doing this, however the resulting printed forms need to look exactly the same as the original paper based forms.

There are 5 pages of A4 and with the limitation I cannot simply embed an image on the report and put the fields in the corresponding places (as I first thought I would do)

I am now thinking I will do that in Word instead and mail merge to it, unless you can suggest another method?

I've got a suggestion for you. You can try using page breaks and sub reports. So you create 5 reports (with the appropriate controls) representing each page. Place the background image in each of these reports. Create another blank report and place your 5 reports as subreports as follows:

HEADER SECTION
--------------------------
Company Logo, Address, ... etc.

DETAIL SECTION
--------------------------
Subreport1 - to hold Page 1 of report
PageBreak Control
Subreport2 - to hold Page 2 of report
Page_Break Control
. .
. .
. .
---------------------------

FOOTER SECTION
---------------------------
Any other company info. w.r.t your template.

Would that work for you?
