Hi all,

I have another question:

I use my db to keep track of parcels. When something is delivered to my office, I obviously need someone to sign for it, this being a member of the postroom staff. When the person who the parcel is addressed to comes to collect it, they have to sign to acknowledge that they did indeed receive it.

At the moment we use a book for that (I know!) is there a way of getting an electronic signature? I have a Wacom Tablet with the pen. We use it to get signatures on our digital security passes. How do I do this?

Please help if anyone can.

Thanks

I have a program that is similar to yours. It helps users create Engineering Change Requests (ECR's).

Each user logs into the system and the programs checks the users name and password to a hidden file.

Depending on the users access level (level of experience a better term maybe?) then the file may get forwarded to thier supervisor for approval.

If the supervisor approves the ECR, I write his/her login name and timestamp to the table.

So far this is working great! No need for any scanned signature files.

Good luck!!

Dave

Thanks Pat,

At the moment I am doing what you have suggested, BUT...

We have +/- 600 employees, we are a medie company, so we recieve about 300+ courier delivered parcels per day. It would be absolute chaos if we should every one of them with a password ad user name. The signature is not that important, we have never had a problem with parcels going missing, it was just a suggestion form someone, guess we'll just do withou.

Thanks anyway
