Globally Set Font For All Controls On All Forms

Sorry.

I just figured since it worked ok there was nothing to explain.

if you select a Theme Font the font changes in both the detail control and the memo field in the footer.

Again, sorry.

Nothing to be sorry about, I was just telling you what helps to speed the process ;)

From your explanations I don't think you've uploaded what I'm hoping to see. Let me explain.

You said that some forms/tables it works and some it doesn't right? Now what I want to see is those forms/tables that work and don't work. Uploading just one table and one form doesn't cover all basis. Also include some more sample data.

I figured seeing one that works and one that doesn't is enough.

There is only 1 form that I'm having issues with and that's frmGroceryList base don the Memos table that I uploaded.

The DVD Library works ok.

So, you need me to upload every form that works ok.

Again though, after creating a new table the memo field in GroceryList accepts the font selected in Theme Fonts once I close it and reopen it.

But I don't;t nee to do this with the other forms.

Just one that works and one that doesn't will suffice, but I would like them in the same db with notes as to which one works and which one doesn't.

The MemoNotes textbox in frmGroceryList form is working as expected. The only problem I found was in the frmDvd form where one button and one textbox wasn't working. My suspect is those controls came from an older version of Access (perhaps as you've migrated the application) and somehow don't respond to Themes. Either that or they are corrupt.

So if you are using old controls, remove them and add new ones and it should work ok. And it's also worth checking your Windows themes settings on the Control Panel.

Does the frmGroceryList I uploaded have the 2 other fields on the form?

If so it works fine like that. But if you remove those fields and leave the memo field it stops working.

I've added new ones and I've even deleted the table and created a new one.

It still doesn't work on my end.

Whatever is what is in your last upload is what I'm referring to. From memory it's just the memo field that's on there.

But like I also mentioned in my last post, you need to check your Appearance options in Control Panel. That has been known to interfere with Access Themes.

Setting the font in the onload of the form works ok.
Not sure what I'm looking for in Appearance.
I changed themes but no dice.
I can live with it. As long as it's not a hint of a larger problem.

I want to thank you for your help in all this, it is appreciated,
James

Try taking your db to another laptop with Access and see if it makes a difference.

The path to the appearance setting I'm talking about is this:

Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display > Change the size of all items

It's known to cause issues with Access Themes but this may have been resolved in newer versions of Access.
