Hi Everyone!

I hope this is the right place to post this....

I thought that I was doing well with access learning...I can do forms, pretty good tables, finally made sense (I think ) of relationships etc...what I want to know is more about Query's--the different types, stuff like "What the heck a parameter is" and I also want/need to learn about the security features.

Could someone suggest a good book or manual worth buying/borrowing from the library that I might understand and read???

Thank you so much!!!

Jamie

With so many books and training guides out there, I've come across the following as being some of the best:

by Prague/Irwin - MS Access 2000 BIBLE; Gold Edition: ±$55. Includes a free 3-month trial of SQL Server7! All code from book! Very detailed and easy to follow! One of the best follow-along databases to learn every aspect of Access!

Also, the EXAM Prep and Cram series books by Certification Insider Press; prices range from ±$20-60, depending on what certifications you are going for... very helpful especially for training purposes and self evaluation of skillset.

Settle on a couple resources so you don't get overwhelmed, which is easy to do! I prefer the texts written by expert developers and users of the products as opposed to the "official" manuals.

Any user that knows the app well enough to write a full text always has my vote!

Thanks to you both, I will check out my local library this weekend to see if any/all are available!!

:)
