Hey Kids,

How do I create a line graph on a form? I have a query that extract's the number of something issued over time. The query looks something like this:

YEAR: 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004

ISSUED: 5 6 9 13 10 8

I want a line graph over time to see a trend in the number issued. Do you see what I mean? I'll make and attach a funky diagram if it makes it easier to understand my rambling.

Please help - you've helped so much in the past!

Rick

Sorry, that should read:

1999 .... 5
2000 ..... 6
2001 ..... 9
2002 ..... 13
2003 ..... 10
2004 ..... 8

The chart wizard produces a generic graph type that you should further customise to get it looking the way you want.

The picture attached is the same graph, based on the values you've given, and the first is the generic graph output by Access; the latter was customised slightly.

To get them looking the way you want, you've got to be prepared to invest a little time into getting them just right.

Is there anyway of getting around only being able to use 6 fields?

(I'm using Access '97 by the way)

The wizard will only allow you to use six fields but once the wizard has guided you through then you can edit the RowSource of the graph to include further fields for graphical representation.
