Green Check Box?

Thanks for the help. What I'm wondering now is why this is happening now? The default value was never set to "0" before, yet the boxes never appeared this way until recently.

In older versions a check box had two states, yes/no or -1/0. In Access 2007 and above they now have three states Null/-1/0. If a field contains Null then it will be blue or green (in your case) which indicates the Null state.

No, the person who held my position at my job before me created them. My boss hired me to clean up the mess.

Well, not wanting to contradict vbaInet, but the triple state was there all along but it just has to do with how different versions interact with it. In 2003 your database looks fine UNLESS you uncheck the box Use Windows Themed Controls and then the checkboxes look green (null) whereas if I use the Windows Themed Controls, then it really just shows the nulls as no as well. Sometimes different versions tighten up on the way things are handled and 2007 does that for several things.
