I used to live in the flood zone of York.

I'm from Hull - itself a flood zone ... especially in 2007!

Hello to the city of culture!
Still sounds odd somehow.

I remember Hull's floods - was it really 10 years ago....

I really liked York apart from when my house on Huntingdon road got flooded back in 1982 after which I moved away.
Still it was fun going down the to the pub in a rowing boat!
After that they built the Foss flood gates & it was flood free for years until the flood gates broke. It brought it all back when I saw my old house on the national news - with a boat on the road outside it again!

Anyway once again welcome to AWF - may you bring some culture with you...
