Hi,

I have produced a report and I want to show the gridlines, but this option isn't available and appears to be greyed out, has anyone any ideas as to why this is or whow I can remedy this problem??

Any help would be appreciated

Joce

The gridlines are only visible in design mode, not available when the report is run. I guess you could draw a series of lines in the detail/header/footer to look like gridlines. These could be coloured, weighted and style applied

Gridlines are available in design view. Are you trying to enable it in Design View?

Can you show us a screenshot of what the problem is.

Edit: Only just seen DavidAtWork's post. I wonder why it didn't show up before now.

I am having the same trouble, of the faded out button.
Any help, would be appreciated.
Thanks
Russ

Clicked on either stacked or tabular first. This ensures that the labels and text boxes are aligned so that there is some logic to apply a grid.

Stopher - the Tabular stays faded, the Stacked is highlight when I select all the items =
Big problem, if I select the Stacked button, Access takes my seven columns of fields, and combines them, overlaying the first column fields with others and 7 columns become one column of yuck, overlaid fields.

Looks like no easy way to turn on the Gridlines.:banghead:

this is not a Datasheet.

You can also draw your own lines to make up a grid. The down side is its a bit more effort. The upside is you have full control.

If you have a continuous form the the vertical lines should go from the top of the relevant section to the bottom. Then when the section is repeated it shows as a grid.

Another tip if you are doing it manually is to highlight all your vertical lines and set the lines lengths at the same time to you know they are accurately the same. Otherwise you will get gaps in your grid.
