Can we please receive your suggestion on how we can group records by Analyst_Name Alphabetically, ascending, in our Access 2003 database?

Enter the word “Ivanhoe” into the Find / Filter and then click enter.

Your suggestion will be appreciated.

There is nothing wrong with using a query that contains both the GROUP BY and ORDER BY keywords on the same field.

I very rarely open other people's databases so I didn't open your presentation.

Very confusing. You posted this in the Forms sub-forum. But your terminology makes it seem like a query issue. But you gave instructions about entering data into a form, which makes it seem like a form issue. But those instructions seem irrelevant to sorting and grouping. So in conclusion--what do you want?

To top it off, the bottom of that form has a sorting area that allows you to sort by Analyst ascending--and it works. Again, what do you want? Perhaps you can provide explicit instructions on actions we can take so we can definitively see the what actually is occuring and what you want to occur.
