Is it possible to 'hard code' the page settings for reports. The problem I have is that my database could end up on lots of different machines and I don't want the user to have to keep changing the page settings.

??

Which page settings do you want to "hard code"? You can set up Access security so that the user can run, but not edit the report.

I want to prevent the 'printer' page settings from changing when the default printer on different machines is installed. I'm aware that there's a bug with A2K which has not been resloved by Microsoft (no surprise). When you edit a report in design and then print preview it, the page settings change. If there was some way of hard coding what margins, page orientaion etc to use, it would prevent this problem from happening. Any ideas?

acctually sp1 for access 2k fixes the page formatting issue.

Thanks for that Cliff, I always seem to forget about the updates for Office. I'll give it a whirl.

Kind Regards, Tim C
