Feeling that I've conquered Excel, I've moved on to learning Access.

I've had an interest in learning database design, ever since I learned it existed and realized I had no natural talent for it! To that end, I've purchased Access 2010 and started a database to help me organize our medical claims. (Managing the various insurance processes for various aspects of our healthcare was growing too complex for the Excel file I had started with, and should I drop dead tomorrow, I wanted a guided, annotated, process for the husband to use, besides making it easier for me to do the medical bookkeeping and having an excuse to learn Access!!) Thankfully, work just also switched to Office/Access 2010, so I'm fully exercising my down-time on my new assignment!

I am in my mid-30s, live in the southern United States, and am married with two young children and two cats. Simply because it worked out that way, we're one of those "hip" couples where she works, and he stays home. And this is on top of all our cool points for him serving two terms of Army enlistment and me being half-Chinese & half-Caucasian, and even that's the flip of the usual: my dad's the Chinese one.

Anyway, have been reading the forums for a while, and thanks for all the help so far!!

Looking forward to posting and chatting with you in the future. :)
