Hi all,

I have been programming in MS Access since version 1.0. I am attorney and originally purchased a copy when my then boss would not network (using Novell Netware) and automate using then existing canned software for our industry. To be fair, I was probably asking him to spend $40,000. So, when he said no, I bought myself a copy of Access 1.0 and a book and have been reading and studying ever since. I only program for myself but that database I started all those years ago has morphed into a paperless office, document automation, complete legal suite to run my office.

Good for you, Ben. When I was still in position to influence younger persons in my office (before I retired), I told them that not only would a computer run utilities to create and maintain various documents, but you could use the power of the computer (via scripting) to manage document archiving, backups, and creation of repositories. In essence, the computer can do most of your job for you if only you learn to ask it the right way.
