i have the form year going to the form name then to the form pledge.

the problem is that they aren't being limited by the query...

i want them to enter a year, (Also want the years to be DISTINCT and won;t be when i try)

then from there go to the name form to pick a name limited to the year picked,

then from there go to the last form to enter pledges based on that selection of name or ID

how come it won't work, and can you make it work easily?

no..

that didn't work at all!

the forms selection didn''t restrict querys

select the year in frist form,

should only display names and id from year selected in the next form

then based on that only the subform of the walker name and id selected

way to go through is

frmYear > frmName > AIDSWalkRegistration

frmName should be based on the year selected in the frmYear,

and AIDSWalkRegistration based off of the selection in frmName

respectively.

Did you download the sample I provided in your last thread? This allowed you to select the year followed by the name and find the correct info in the subfrm. The only thing I didn't include was requerying the combo box as I forgot to do it at the time.

yes

i got what you did and it hadn't helped, thanks for trying though..

;)

I have the first transititon working now where the year is selected and then it goes to the name form to ask the name or ID,

NOW

i need to open the AIDSWalkRegistration form to the proper record based on the ID chosen

I have EDITED this please look at the button on the Year form
the code is a little off

No probs, I didn't know you were looking to display the info on different forms so all you need now is to display the correct record on the aidsregistrationform after selecting the person name on the previous form.

can you help?

can you help?

:D
