Help Please! Access Subreports

Hi. I have posted this problem before, with unfortunately no response. I wasn't suprised because of was very vague.

When you see the problem attached you will understand, I hope.

Having done some more investigation this is my problem so far.

I have a fairly complex report with subreport in the detail section.

If the subreport exceeds 1 page in length I get unpredicatble results.

Orginally I thought the report was hanging, having removed the total page count, the report no longer hangs but the subreport behaves stangely (see for yourself).

I have attached access 2000 db Report WIP and WIP2 are the main reports. WIP has font size reduced in detail section of subreport (WIP Subreport) to enable the report to run properly.

WIP2 is my original report with font size as required, when you run this report the subreport exceeds 1 page bcause of the font size, causing the report to repeat the header section in the main report over and over again, see prev of WIP2.

This is not the full version of my report but serves the purpose of a demo.

I know I have made this about as clear as mud. Please Help.

I didn't look at the sample so this is just a stab in the dark but this is the behaviour that is exhibited when the main report is based on a query that includes data from the "many" side table. If that is your situation, modify the main form query so that it only includes columns from the "one" side table.

Hi Pat.

Sorry not in this case, besides the report runs fine if I reduce the font size. Definitely not down to the data.
