Help please! "Enter parameter value" problem

I created a form wherein i can do a keyword search by JobTraveler number using a textbox and add a button to run the report. I did use parameter criteria:

Like "*" & [Forms]![F_SearchForm]![txtJobTrav] & "*"

it works fine as a form but after i added it in the main form(as Navigation) the "Enter parameter value" appears. Any workaround guys???

The syntax changes if it's a subform:

Forms: Refer to Form and Subform properties and controls

As a tip, the "Enter Parameter Value" box usually tells you what it is looking for. I.e. it will spell out the name of the thing it wants. So if you can find that thing somewhere, you have found the statement triggering the error. Then it is just a matter of finding what was wrong with what you told it.

presume you have not copied your code but free typed it since it won't work as written

If you are using Like, you need to include single quotes

Like "'*" & [Forms]![F_SearchForm]![txtJobTrav] & "*'"
