I used to have no trouble creating switchboards using the Switchboard Manager, recently I cannot though. I don't know what happened. I have even tried reinstalling access with no success. Does anybody have any ideas?

That is not very much information to go on. What is happening? Are you getting an error? What version of Access and what OS?

I am running Access 2002, on Windows XP. I don't get an error, when you look at the tables it shows the switchboard table complete, when you look at form the switchboard form is there. When you open the switchboard form where there is supposed to be switchboard objects, it just says "There are not objects to display?. I have moved all tables and forms into a new database and created the switchboard again but the same thing happened.

Any chance you could post your db? Remove any sensitive data but leave enough sample data to demonstrate the problem.

It is a pretty basic database, frustrating that I cannot get the switchboard manager to work.

there should be a table called "switchboard items"

is there one

if not import one from a working dbs, and use that

finally, check that the switchboard form is bound to the table switchboard items

I created a switchboard without any problem. I also recreated your problem. The message you received simply means that you created a switchboard, which is why you see a Switchboard form and a Switchboard table, but you haven't added any items to the switchboard. If you open the Switchboard table you'll see that no items have been entered there.
