Help with form within a form?

Hi guys,

I have a main form named members and I would like to be able to open another form from within it by pressing a button called history which would contain just a memo field and the customer ID. Ie the history would not be visible on the members form until the user clicks the history button.

I have created a history table with just MemberNumber (auto number) and history (memo) and created a relationship between the MemberNumber on the history and members table.

I then created a new form called History, added the MemberNumber and history memo to it and 2 buttons to save details and close the form. I can not get the 2 forms linked ie I open the history button for member 101 and i want the history form to come up with the same idbso I can add notes relevant to member!

I tried creating open a form to show specific data but nothing shows up on he left field box for members only the right side or history!

Hi Mark,
I think the easiest solution would be to create a subform to show your history details and then add this macro to your button's "on click" event;

Action: SetProperty
Control Name: name of your subform
Property: Visible
Value: True
