Hi guys / gals.
I have searched everywhere, but cant find a solution to this - I think everything I have found has been far to complicated.

I have a Form with a memo field on. How can I have a "live" text search box on that same form to display results in the memo field as they are found. All my form entries are unique, and I'd love to be able to just type data into a text box and have it instantly displayed, no clicking search etc.

Is this possible? I'm sure it is, but I have no idea how to do it, and I've become lost in the hundreds of different versions, types, templates, and samples etc?

Can anyone help!?

Thanks

Andy

Hi Andy,

I think the reason any solutions you may have found look complicated, is because what you are after possibly is very complex.

What are your search criteria - any matching individual words, any matching exact strings, partial matches etc. ?

If you want a Google like word match you will struggle to make it work efficiently, as you would have to monitor the search input box continually for changes.

What is the database set up - Access FE and BE? SQL backend?
