Sorry, I may be a bit thick, but I cant see what you are trying to achieve. :(
I cant see why you are using 2 subforms. Can you add a little further explanation.

Dave

I suspect this may require a little deeper solution. May I assume the following:

1. You have multiple projects
2. A project has multiple footings
3. Footings have height and width attributes as well as a grid location attribute

???

There are 2 projects in the db. There are entries made in the footing table(subform on left) for each of the projects.
The subform on the right needs to populate the cbo in that table with only the FootingID(s) for the project viewed in the main form.
Example: Project 1 has only one entry for a footingID of 33, project 2 has footingIDs of 11,12,13 and 14. When Im on a project, the cbo in the right subform should only have the footingIDs of the subform to the left.

If you don't mind, forget what's on you form for a minute. Are the statements in my previous post correct?

A project can have many footingIDs
FootingIDs can be in many GridIDs
But only 1 FootingID in any given gridID

I have my tables indexed not to allow duplicates

I don't mean to put you on hold but I can't download you example db at the moment. I'll check back in the morning and if you still can't get it to work, we'll give it another go...
