:confused::confused: Hello Access World

I am working on a database to track orders. It is pretty well done but I am having issues with one section:

Desc: I want to have one window where a comment can be added, with a button to submit. Below that I want a window to display the message but it cannot be changed once the submit button has been clicked.

Essentially a quick communications board that can been by all but not changed.

I can send what I have to someone if they know what they are doing and don't mind looking at it...

I do realize you are all busy but I welcome the help, I was a File Pro user and would like to learn more about Access but not up to speed yet.

Thank you to those of you that offer the assistance.

Should be possible ...

Sounds like you want a MEMO field (rather than a TEXT field) in your data Table to store a comment, plus a Yes/No field.

Once the comment is entered, a command button running an Update query will update the Yes/No field to a "Yes" and conditional formatting on the Form Field can be set to Disable (but still Display) the comment.
