Hi everyone,

Could you please help with one issue.

Can I connect my DB with SharePoint list.

So when I will add any information to my DB it was copied to list in SharePoint.

Thank you in advance.

Good morning Vugar,

The quick answer to your question is "yes". However there are more than a couple of ways to skin this cat and there is a better forum (thread) to post this question.

But for now, what version of SP and Access are you using?

Access and SP is 2013

Good. OK, hopefully one of the moderators will move this to the proper forum but until then, are you able to us the "SharePoint" option in the Move Data group?

Highlight the table you want to move and on the ribbon, choose Database Tools, Move Data, Shape Point. It will ask you for a location to place your list so have that ready.

As long as your table isn't a bad candidate, things SHOULD go smoothly...

I can copy my query to SP one time.
I would like to updated my data in SP every time when I'll add information to table.

Ok... I am NO expert on this, but from my experience a query can be exported to a SP list but it is not dynamic (linked) and would have to be run periodically to stay updated.

Tables on the other hand, can be linked and as you update one, you update the other. I am quite sure I have that right, but again, I am not an expert, just someone who has beat his head against the wall a few times...

Could you please tell way how I can do it.
I know only append query but it duplicate data.

Highlight your table in the Navigation Pane. then choose the Move Data -> Share Point option. The table Icon next to your table name will turn to gold and you will be linked...

Good luck!

But I didn't find Move Data option, there only export to Share Point list.
no updating information.

It should be in the ribbon after you choose Database Tools...

I circled it, but it is greyed out for some reason...

So...if that problem still persists, lets try something else. Are you able to export the table to a SP List?

Good. Do so and then go to the list. Choose "Actions" (should be at the top of the datasheet or list) and select "Open with Access". It will ask you some questions as whether you want to link to it or export to a local table. Be sure to choose "Link"

Let me know how it goes...

it's work. but information I take from many tables by query. and I try to copy data to linked table. I copied by Append Query. One problem that append query duplicate data. Do you know how set rule that query not copy duplicate, copy only new data.

thank you

I do! But...lets do everyone a favor by using the right thread. Please post a new question in the Queries forum so that others can find the answer more effectively.

I will be looking for your post...
