hidden filter?

Hi! I have a form that's been working just fine for months - until today.
There are a total of 1015 records. I can see all of these records until I switch to Design View to make a change (formatting, etc) then when I change the view back to Form, the navigation counter still says 1015 but I can only scroll to, jump to (navigation button) or access, 198 records. Every time it's 198. When I switch to Datasheet View and back to Form View all of the records are visible again.
It's driving me crazy!!! I'm assuming it must be a query attached to a subform or something, but the only subform I added today, I deleted and I've still got the problem.
I've also tried to "compact and repair" to no avail.

When in design view, in the properties tab, do you have anything in filter on load ?

Create a new database and import all into it.
If it doesn't help, post your database + name of the form in which you've the problem.
