I need to find a way to not allow users to access the backend by using the database window. Is there a way I can password protect this?

Thanks

Look at "Demo1PassA97.mdb".
It is only for users, not for expert.

The way I do it is to go into the startup properties and tell it to not show the DB window. I also hide all the standard toolbars/menus etc except for the popup menu for filtering lists. That way the 'unhide' option in the menus is hidden and inaccessible.

thanks a lot guys, problem solved. I created a custom toolbar with the icons i needed and hid the rest

ta much

now I made a real booboo! After hiding the toolbars in startup I can no longer get into startup or get access to the toolbars to show all options. Can someone please help!

Thanks

Hold down the Shift key while opening the db to bypass the StartUp options.

Then check this out...
