I am beginning to design a new Access application. I need to link to two separate Oracle databases. I know how to use odbc to link to one database, but how can I link to two different ones at the same time?

Thanks.

One way is to create two DSN's in your ODBC control panel in Windows and then just do the Linking to the first one (selecting your tables you want) and then after those have been linked, go back and start the process again but this time select the second DSN and select the tables from that database.

As long as you are just using ODBC Linked Tables, you should be able to have as many as you need if you follow two simple steps. See if this is what you are looking for.
  1. Create ODBC Links to each Database that you need to get Data from
  2. Create ODBC Linked Table References to the Tables that you will need in each of the Database.
Once you have done this, you wil lhave access to tables in all three Databases (Oracle1, Oracle2, and MS Access).

Note: I see that Bob Larson has already posted an answer similar to mine. I guess that means that I must be on the right track.
