How is this achieved - stream

Hi

I have just seen a thread in another forum which is exactly the problem for which I am looking to solve.

I don't understand some terms written there, can anyone help me?

This is the sentence of most interest to me -
"....I save the autotext as RTF (Rich Text Format), get the stream and put it into the database."

I presume the gentleman is saving as a rich text file, but what is "the stream" - and how does a "stream" get into the access database (is it something that can be copied and pasted in??).

a stream refers to the "portal" that is opened between txt's and another source, like a database for example. he's probabaly talking about text streaming, which is really used to manipulate data between the txt and the source. here is a faq from this forum on it:
