Solved How to Add a Group Heading? (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I have grouped my report by Month. But I have no idea how to put a Title in the header. This is the design view of my Report

And this is my report

I want to display April 2021, May 2021 in the report.

Could you guys please guide me?

Also, there is a gap between the title and the Details. How do I fix this?

Here I have to show a gap to show a separation between months in the report.

Right click the header,at the eclipse end, see attachment. then add group/ sorting/grouping.

Go down and pick the date field you want to group by, then choose by month.

I want to display April 2021, May 2021 in the report.

You must have those values in the underlying datasource of the Report, do you? If not, you need to build a field in a query that displays the month header as you like it and base the Report on that query and use that field in the Group Header.

I got this

What I did is, I have added a text box in the StartDate Header Section then bound that text box with StartDate field and then change the Format of that text box to mmmm

Now it's working the way I want.
