Hi!
I've created an acesss.mdb file and after that i splitted the file to tables file and to the other objuects file.
I know that I need to make a back up to my tables file but i've never done this before.
I'm using Access 2000 - Is there anyway to vakup the data automaticly let say , once a day? or is there any backup software that i can use to that automaticly?
As I said i never used back-up softwares before- SO, i'll be more than glad to a little explanation about it...

Thanx!

you can just use windows copy to copy the backend database (even when it is open). Any normal overnight backup should do this for you.

alternatively you could probably just shell a (dos) copy command to copy the database.

You do have filecopy command in Access, but it won't work on an open file, according to help, so its hard to use from within an open database.

Hi!
How can I get to the windows copy? Does it runs automatictly - once a night?
Where does it keep the back-up file?
I don't need the back-up to the db while it's open it can be done when it is closed.
I realy realy need some simple instrauctions about using the windows copy- I'm a real newbee when ir comes to bacl-up
Thanx!
