Almost every aspect of Access can be learned by trial and error EXCEPT SECURITY.
Get a good security guide to help you through the twilight zone of Access security. I would suggest:

Remember to make a copy of your database and use that for your first few tries at security. Trust me, you'll screw it up the first few attempts.
