Question How to design a ledger on my solution

Hi,
I have a small inventory solution i did for a client. But the bottle neck here now is that the client wants me to include a ledger into the application, which i do not know how to start that.
Can some one be of help here. I am not an accountant and so do not know what will make a ledger.
Although, I have done a cash flow form for him to be entering mini-income and mini-expenses cash movement and account.

big job. depending on what he wants. he won't want to pay for a proper ledger, and you won't want to do it.

does he not have an accounting system? the easiest way is to interface your dbs to his existing system, but you need to be careful not to change data in that system
