Hi
I'm new to access and have been trawling both online help and forums to try and find out how you can embed a word file within a recordset... so far with no success ! I'm guessing that it's something to do with OLE but the "how to" section is not much use.
My database needs to store a number of word or text files for each user. What I anticipate is that a data entry clerk would "attach" the file within a field and I would then see a little icon to show that an attachment is in place for that particular field. Any user could then double click the icon and hey presto... the word document loads !
An easy to follow explanation and instructions would be most appreciated as I'm still new to both access and programming and am slowly learning the ropes. Be gentle with me
Also, does anyone know how to calculate an age if I am given date of birth ?
Thanks !
