I've done a some "basic" Micosoft Access in college and one thing I can't remeber for the life of me if how to 'execute' (?) your whole database, or something to enable you to have an icon on your desktop, for example, that will just open the switchboard. So you don't have to go INTO access to be able to use my database.

Any one know what I'm rambling about?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Setting the Tools>Startup...Display Form/Page: to your SwitchBoard will start your mdb at the SwitchBoard and making a shortcut to your mdb on the desktop will launch it.

Yes the switchboard appears when I open my database, along with microsoft access, all the toorbars etc, etc.

I remember in college we made it so that on our desktops was 'COOKIE MONSTER'S DATABASE' (par example) and when we double clicked there access would not open, only my switchboard would... Executed my database in a separate program, if you like (have no idea if this would be the correct way to refer to it)

Thanks,

It sounds like you are talking about hiding access. Your forms need to be popup and modal and you will encounter other problems when previewing reports.

Maybe it was opened with Access window minimized, and form maximized?

Access is required to run any mdb/mde file. The best you can do is make it "look" like Access is not there. Maybe this link is what you are talking about.
