I have a split contacts database and I would like to use hyperlinks in the email address field so that when clicked Outlook would automatically open with the contacts address added. That’s fine but one of the functions of the database is mail outs and I could not get a query to sort the snail mail and email people until I changed the hyperlink back to text. Currently I am using two fields for emails one text and one hyperlink but that is not good database design.
Is there a way I can get rid of the text field and be able to run queries that either return the email contacts or the snail mail contacts?
