i cant edit my mdb

i am brand new to Access, maybe fooled around with it a tad bit, but thats it

My job has a MDE all setup with a mdb in the background... i wanted to edit some of the formulas and programming in the reports, etc.

When i opened up the MDB, i got it to work the first time. (it showed me what i was looking for)

now when i open the mdb, it looks like the mde. (it doesnt have any options, toolbars, etc.)

what happened?
how do i get back my design enviornment?

You can try opening it while holding <Shift>. This will bypass any 'startup' stuff that could be hiding toolbars, db window etc.

i tried this multiple times, but does not help.

When i close the program, it flashes all the edit windows, toolbars, etc... before it closes

any help, i really need to make changes in this file
