I hate this forum

Why is it so hard to search posts on this forum.....I type in "update query" in the search prompt and it search for "Update, query " Not at all what I specified. Wish this was powered by google.

Can anyone give me an explanation?

Use advanced google search then... Type your phrase then have it search this domain.

Saying that you hate this forum seems a little extreme and certainly isn't going to help in any way.

It looks like a setting in vBulletin that allows boolean searches is not enabled. You can still use google to search strings on this forum though...

Yeah, it might have started out better if you had just said that you hate the search feature of the forum software and not the forum itself.

It would be just as easy for me to say that I hate xxxxx Hxxxx Cxxx just from the interaction of one individual but it might upset the rest of the staff there.

I agree the search is poor, that's why how to search ising Google is explained in a "sticky" in the General forum.
