hello guys

i have a database. the database have a table called CardDetails
in this table there is like 1000 rows. The table have a field named MedicalId.
and i have a folder . it's destination (D:\CardPic) . this folder contains 1000 pic has the same names as the medical ids

i need to make a report and show on it these pic's
the database doesn't have a afield that contains the path.
i need to auto display the images on the report depending on the medical id as i explained before
this is the problem for me .

any example or suggestions on how to do this will be appreciated .

thanks :)

In the RecordSource for your Report copy/paste the below on the Field line of the Query...

mID: "D:\CardPic\" & "FieldThatContainsName" & ".YourExtensionForTheImages"

First of all thanks a lot for your reply . i relay appreciate it .:)
but i tried this code and couldn't do it . so here is a sample of my db
if you can edit on it . so i can more understand .
first time dealing with reports :)
thanks.

Great! All done, please note you will see nothing in Report View, you must go to Print Preview to see anything. I moved the line and you'll see my Control which I colored yellow which makes the Image Control show the image. (You can set that to Visibile = No)

Side note: I changed the name of a field from Name to cName because Name is a Reserved Word. For a complete list see...

Thanks A lot Gina. it really helped me a lot.
but i still have one more question ?
how i can display 2 records in 1 line in the report ?

You mean you want to limit it to two records because when I look at the sample I see three recrods per report.

Thanks Gina . i did that 2 record thing from page setup i choosed 2 columns per line . and done :)
