I Spy

More immigrants:confused::D

Are they immigrants or migrants? Doesn't immigrant suggest that they have actually moved here with the intention to settle? If that's the case, why do most of them send their salaries home?

I heard of one man who was actually, successfully, claiming working family tax credit for his children who still lived in Warsaw. Don't know how true it is, but it came from a bonafide Polish immigrant.

The real-life James Bonds in MI5 earn the same as binmen, vicars, carpenters and NHS nurses, £20,000 - £30,000. A bit higher up on £30,000 - £40,000 are the pole dancers and RAF pilots, along with bishops, police constables, sandwich shop managers, vets, London cab drivers, architects and paramedics.

You'd think that a Government Spy would earn more than a Bobby, wouldn't you?

reading the latest copy of Arena, it appears your ex-spy chappie is rakingin a lot more reddies from working within big businesses, putting their knowledge to dirty work of checking up on potential employees as well employees under suspicion.

i read elsewhere (probably on a leaflet byt he Ministry of Mi5information) that the day to day work of 'spies' is to tail, watch, collate data on suspects. Ever since the breakdown in the Cold War (though well done to the chaps for keeping it going as long as it did run), the skills of breaking and entering, clicking off a shot or two of a secret document are past and that they want people who understand specific languages as the shift in who the 'enemy' is has moved...

watching 'Enemy of the State' with Will Smith last night added to the tension that governments can hear and read everything that is transmitted digitally...guess this is the last time i mention 'bomb' and 'Gordon Brown's @r5e' in the same sentance....

...hmm.. interesting...doorbells just rung...wife says there's a couple of chaps in dark suits with shades on..:eek: what took them so long to trace me...must have been the hike in petrol prices made them conserve a bit of fuel...got to destroy this pc and any evidence before they find i copied Monty Mole back inthe 80's on the C64!!! :rolleyes:

Sounds like you got a pretty comprehensive job description there for a spy. Now, where would you get that? I've scoured the "Scotsman" (the only newspaper in Scotland for decent jobs) and can't find any ads in there for spies... Mind you, there are few ads in there for jobs !

they are forever advertising in the Times,

Help Wanted: Ever wanted to thawt International terrorists, old ladies with bent umbrellas and track Mr Whippy vans full of WMD...Unsociable hours, must have own car for business use preferably a rust bucket as it won't last long in a car chase..expense account for flying to Torquay and no further...

heck, my spying were over years ago...ever since i had to explain to the Minioster what my sock was doing hanging from his dining room light...:o
