yeah, so I am interested in creating a kick-ass database program utilizing Access as the GUI. I hope I can learn a lot here.

DAVE

I'm new too. when are you old? How many databases do you have to create to be an expert. why can't we get my table to work with my form? Is there a good book that I can read to learn how to post questions to a forum? Where did I leave my keys?

Welcome to both of you.
Dave --> You will learn a lot here. At least I did. I suggest this part of the forum for a good start...

And suggest you take a look at these threads if you are new with databases...

1-You get to be called an expert when you know more than the others and know that you still don't know it all yet. In another words, it takes a lot of practice to become an expert and you will never know it all. Got to keep on practicing and learning for the rest of your life.
2-We can't help you if you don't give more details.
3-You might want to take a look at this website, a suggestion from one of this forum administrator...

4-They are on the table in the hall... between the telephone and the lamp. ;)
Sorry, these are your wife's keys. Yours are in the kitchen next to the fridge.

Hope you enjoy, everyone here is EXTREMELY helpful and kind. This isn't like most forums where they flame you for everything!!

Welcome to this GREAT resource for development :)

Check with the Search in each catagory for a lot of your questions - it will at the least point you into the right direction for most questions - but when in doubt - do not be afraid to ask - no one here is ready to flame anyone :)

Yes, I am a vBulletin forums aficionado myself. I am a coadmin of www.adminfusion.com where I heard about this site. It's just that sometimes I don't know what I'm looking for specifically, so I don't have search terms in my head. :)

Thanks for the welcome. (what's all this talk about flaming eh?)

Many forums have users who will tell you that your question is stupid. These forums tend to be for database administrators only. This forum understand that some people have no Access knowledge. We are glad to answer any question as long as you show that you tried somthing and that you are willing to learn. We will often point to the answer instead of giving it. If you don't know what to look for in the search engine, tell us in your thread and we will give you the terms you seek, so that you can make your own research.
