i've got a form with several text/combo fields that bound to a table
also i've got 3 buttons on it: save, erase, add new

i've noticed that when i'm changing a field in the form it saves it into the database even if i didn't push the "save" button!

why does it happen? can anyone tell me how to solve it?

p.s. i've created those 3 buttons using the wizard

You've answered your own question...

Snoopy,

One of the nice things about Access is that it does most of the
work for you!

If you ever have a form with an AutoNumber, you'll notice that
when you begin typing in the first field, the AutoNumber is
assigned, and the record is created.

Access is constantly saving your changes for you when you
have "bound" forms.

Trying to make your "bound" forms act like "unbound" forms
is going to take a lot of work for you.
