Imortiing into excel with access

Hi,

I need Help. I have a File that is automatically created by another program. I need to get it in to a table in access. The only way I have found to do this is to first pull in in to excel then I can Automate it to pull in to access. I cannot figure out how to pull the file in to excel automatically. This process thas to be automated. Please help. This file is Tab Deliminated I think. Or if anyone could tel me how to get it straight into access that would be great. When I pull it straight iunto access All the information goes into 1 field.

You can automate this process by using either the TransferText action in a macro or the TransferText method in VBA code. The Transfer Type should be set to Import Delimited. If your tab-delimited file is not imported properly, you may also need to set up an Import Specification which indicates the delimiter character is a Tab, rather than the usual comma.
