Import From Excel

good Evening to all fellow forum members,

i have never used access before and now i have to creat a data base based upon our excel file, which is highly complicated and completely misleading, i have more then 5000 rows in this file and the basic purpose of the file is to keep track of our bank facilities.

when i do an imports its not picking up the data so fist step can any body tell me how to import data from excel to access.

When you say "...imports its not picking up the data..." what do you mean. Did your import show you data and then there was an error and no data was entered into your table. Are you familiar withe the File Import on the menu?

As you go through the File Import steps you should see the data Access will be importing and you can adjust the field types before you do an import.
