This somewhat of a continuation of a previous post I made, but this is still a separate issue.

I have an Excel "database" and one column contains hyperlinks to Excel Files (not web pages). These files are located in the same folder as the main Excel "database". As long as all of these files and the main file stay in the same folder - hyperlinks work on any computer I tried.

The problem arises when I try to import all this data into Access. Hyperlinks do not work in Access. I edited the field in Design view so its set to Hyperlinks and they are clickable, but I get an error when I click them - cannot create object or something among those lines.

1. Does that mean I have to re-edit all hyperlinks for them to work? Also, how do I stop these security messages about opening Excel and the database?

2. The other problem is that many rows are not getting imported. They are missing and there is nothing special about them. Also Access gives me an error on one column (Type Conversion Failure). How do I fix these issues?

Did you use the File - Get External Data - Import to bring in the excel sheet. I have had troubles with doing this but if I open the excel sheet and highlight the data and drag-n-drop it into the Tables Object it does not destroy and reject as many fields.

You are right! Thanks!

The hyperlink problem is still there though... can't import it properly!
