OK.. any suggestions as to how I get my Excel worksheets imported in Access? I have tried and tried.. and it gives me a message saying that it was not imported..
I am new at access..

any help would be appreciated!

are you importing manually or through code

manually is starightforward

file import find the excel file, and its automatic

what errors are you getting?

Manually. . I am sorry my question was so vague.

I went to my database, under file, clicked on get external data, import, the import spreadsheet wizard came up, went through that... and then I got a message saying

Finished importing to table, not all of your data was sucsessfully imported, error descriptions with associated row numbers of bad records can be found in the microsoft access table ****_Importerrors..

There is a table labeled Import Errors..but it only has two fields in it and no information..

It only imported about 23 records of about 150, and it only imported one worksheet and I have seven..

I appreciate any help you could give me.

it will only import onw worksheet. i am not sure if it offers a choice. i think if you use code you can speicify the sheet.

are you loading to an existing table?

if you only loaded 23 rows out of 150, perhaps the other rows represented duplicated keys, and could not be loaded

of the rows that did load some of the data was faulty eg, text in a date column, and the load errors identify these.

try importing the data to a new table and let access add a pk- that should load all the rows.
