My company reciently upgraded our Office 97 suit to 2000. One of the Access databases I used before, ran queries on a linked DBaseIV table. Once I upgraded Office, the query no longer worked. It gives me the error "The search key was not found in any record." I rebuilt the database from scratch using 2000 thinking maybe the conversion did not work right but that did not help. I then tried to import the table into the database instead of linking it but I recieved the same "search key was not found" error during the import process so I was unable to get the table imported. I am using Office 2000 sp2 and my OS is Windows 2000 sp3. I have the latest Jet engine drivers installed. Does anyone know what might be causing the problem? Thanks for any help.

import data

If you can, I recommend you import the data rather than link to the data. You probably need to have a unique key in your imported data and your field names are all truncated to 10 characters, so check on those. Also, don't forget that Access does not import totals, which DBaseIV allows.
