After much searching, I have finally found a Module which will open a dialog box and then return the filepath of an Excel Spreadsheet that the user selected. I can then use TransferSpreadsheet to import it straight into the database. Quite a victory, but now, if this is possible, I would like to be able to import straight from Lotus Notes into the database. What's happening here is that my users are copying and pasting Excel Spreadsheets that live in Lotus Notes which are submitted by Techs daily into the db. With my current knowledge of TransferSpreadsheet, they would have to detach the files onto either their local Workstation or our shared drive and then use my dialog routine/TransferSpreadsheet method to import that spreadsheet. So, is there a way to specify the filepath of something in Notes? Does it even have a "filepath"?
