I am sure you have looked up the TransferText Method in Access Help. Are you doing something different that this is not covering? I never have had any issues using it.
I suppose you could open the file and read each line in at a time, process it and the write it to your DB table with recordsets. Look up Open Statement in Access Help.
Otherwise, the MS site shows lots of different anomalies with the method.
